Then a local guide walked us to the waterfall (about a half hour walk) and we had a great swim in the cool creek there. Then we stopped for a nice lunch and then drove to the sand dunes. On the trek to the waterfall we had to cross multiple knee high streams of water. we were wearing sneakers and socks and had to wade through the water in these. you cant really wear thongs either as you're trekking through a jungle to the waterfall.
